Now that you have the best automotive locksmith/electrified hardware guy in Edmonton (probably Western Canada) at your disposal, everything is going to be alright.
You might be able to eat off the floor in his van, but nothing is cleaner than one of his installs. For 10+ years he has been making Alberta a bit more secure. One time he made keys for a Ford from scratch in 12 minutes, but watch out, he might talk your ear off.
